PLASTIC
BLASTING
ABASIVE
Plastic blasting abrasives can be used in many applications where traditional abrasives are ineffective or unable to be used. Due to the unique impact, plastic can quickly remove contamination while leaving substrates undisturbed.

Plastic abrasives are unique in the industry due to their non-destructive nature and wide capability portfolios. Plastic will leave patch repairs and body filler intact, it is faster and safer than chemical stripping or sanding, retains clad, anodized, galvanized and phosphatized coatings, will not warp or pit hard metals, and will preserve tolerances on parts and tooling.
TYPE I
(polyextra)
POLYEXTRA® is formulated for use in soft abrasive finishing and deflashing processes. When tolerances are of the utmost concern and the integrity of the substrate can not be compromised. Surface coatings are removed with no distortion or harm occurring to the base substrate. POLYEXTRA® is a reusable blast media which can be reused many times.
Material : Polyester
TYPE II
(polyplus)
POLYPLUS® is a more aggressive media than POLYEXTRA® and applicable for a great variety of light industrial cleaning requirements. POLYPLUS® is designed to be used at low pressure settings from 15 to 45 PSI. It is fast and efficient, yet not damaging for most paint removal applications. It can be used on aircraft wheels, landing gear, as well as ground equipment. POLYPLUS® is a cost effective plastic media and makes a superb paint remover. It can also be reused many times.
Material : urea
TYPE III
(polyhard)
Manufactured from melamine, this media is the most aggressive formulation of POLYMEDIA®. It is formulated to be fast acting and approaches hard abrasives in surface finishing capabilities. TYPE III is not harmful to blast cleaning equipment or cabinetry despite its high degree of aggression. It does not wear out tooling. Substantial savings are realized by eliminating the need to purchase expensive replacement parts. This media offers a fast, cost effective alternative to other removal methods.
Material : melamine
TYPE V
(poly v)
This media is manufactured from acrylic and is designed to solve today's coating removal and surface preparation problems. POLY V® is custom engineered to provide rapid coating removal, minimal substrate abrasion, and high reusability. POLY V® combines the characteristics of durability, gentleness, and speed which translates into a low-cost alternative to chemical stripping and sanding of products.
Material : acrylic
TYPE VI
(polylite)
Polylite® plastic media is a thermoset Polycarbonate, which has been treated with an anti-static agent, custom manufactured specifically for plastic media blasting. It is available both in MILSPEC and Standard grade configurations.
Material : polycarbonate
POLYPLUS
PRIME
POLYPLUS PRIME® was developed in order to solve the green glowing background issue with dye penetrant testing. Type V and Type II leave a residue on the surface of the parts being stripped which is not visible to the naked eye. Even after the parts have been run through a wash cycle they still have the residue left behind from the blasting process.

BONDBLAST
PRIME
Bondblast Prime is a unique media that was custom engineered from strictly virgin resins, to specifically address the problem of removing metal bond adhesive squeeze out, for the Aerospace manufacturing industry. Prior to the development of Bondblast Prime, the squeeze out or flash remaining from the adhesive metal bonding process was scraped away using hand tools or blasted away using overly aggressive medias.

This caused the problem of removing the base primer, thus requiring the additional step of reapplication of primer. Bondblast Prime has the unique ability to remove the bond adhesive squeeze out while leaving the primer intact. All this is accomplished faster, at lower blast pressures, and using far less media than the old processes. Subsequent testing has shown that Bondblast Prime also works well in removing elastomeric coatings as well as sealant.
BONDBLAST
BondBlast® is specifically designed to remove bonding adhesive squeeze out on bonded aerospace panels leaving the substrate and protective coatings (i.e.; primer, alodine or anodizing) intact.
Due to the composition of BondBlast®, the bonding adhesive can be removed with virtually no detrimental residual stress to the substrate eliminating any warpage.
BondBlast® performs at a much faster rate than previously used products and the attrition rates and dust levels are much lower.
Size may be varied to accommodate needed application (softness of the substrate or thickness of the bonding material).

STEELMAGIC
STEEL-MAGIC® is the blasting media for the applications in the industrial and off shore support markets.
STEEL-MAGIC® is designed for removal of thick enhanced coatings on heavier steel substrates (i.e. bridges, tanks, ships, etc,) where a profile is desired for new paint adhesion.
STEEL-MAGIC® will remove heavier enhanced (i.e. epoxy, polyurethane) coatings at twice the strip rate with less dust than media previously available and the surface profile can be controlled by adjusting the pressure or the size of the abrasive.

Depending on the application, STEEL-MAGIC® can be blasted at lower pressure (35-80psi) and be recycled up to 5 cycles, or it can be blasted at a higher pressure (100-120 psi) and used as a single shot media.
QUICKSTRIP
A
QuickStrip® A - Blast Media is specifically
designed for rapid coatings removal on
heavier substrates (i.e.; steel or heavy
cast aluminum) where a profile is needed
for paint adherence. QuickStrip® A removes
heavy enhanced coatings (i.e.; epoxy,
polyurethane) at increased production
rates by removing coatings, rust, and
corrosion all in one step.
Higher blast pressures used with dense media are not needed. QuickStrip® A operates very quickly between 35 to 50 psi and can be recycled up to 10 times compared to only 3 to 4 times with other media. By controlling the amount or size of dense media added to the blend, it is possible to customize the profile needed from heavy (3-3.5 mil) to a superfine satin finish. QuickStrip® A can also be used on aluminum or soft metals with the use of micro-sized dense abrasive.
