Glass Bead blast abrasive is largely used for cosmetic finishes on a variety of part types. The distinct satin finish not only has a pleasing visual appearance but can provide increased functional benefits for coatings and some light peening applications

Glass Bead Abrasive | Precision Finishin

Glass beads are spheres of uniform size and hardness formulated of chemically inert soda-lime glass. The impact of the beads removes foreign substances from the base surface without contamination and dimensional change. Applications range from cleaning, cosmetic, deburring and light peening. It is one of the most versatile blast finishing materials available. Excellent for cleaning where metal removal is a concern. Develops pleasing decorative finishes.
